BIMES PRO Secures Funding for TRACKMAT Project Under the greenSME Initiative

BIMES PRO has successfully secured funding through the greenSME open call. In collaboration with LEAD1, we will develop TRACKMAT, an innovative digital tool aimed at enhancing material traceability and optimizing production processes. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under the GA 101058613.

As a company specializing in advanced optical fiber preform fabrication equipment and process solutions for the production of special optical fibers, BIMES PRO is committed to driving digitalization and sustainability in manufacturing. The TRACKMAT project will introduce a state-of-the-art tracking system, addressing inefficiencies in manual monitoring that lead to excessive waste, inefficient resource use, and high energy consumption. By implementing real-time tracking, material journey visualization, and an optimization algorithm, the solution will reduce production waste, enhance resource efficiency, and lower energy consumption.

The implementation of TRACKMAT is expected to reduce optical fiber waste by up to 15%, decrease raw material usage, and improve overall cost efficiency. Digitalization and automation will foster innovation, streamline workflows, and improve working conditions for employees. This will further solidify BIMES PRO’s position as a leader in sustainable optical fiber manufacturing.

By integrating digital transformation, resource optimization, and sustainable practices, the TRACKMAT project sets a new benchmark for responsible and high-tech manufacturing, ensuring a competitive advantage in the global market.
